With this album "I fly", I share some of the many gifts Hashem gave me: my conversion process, the joy of experiencing the beauty of living a religious Jewish life in the Holy Land and living through Him. During the recordings and camerawork I relived my journey. It was so special to go through this in a conscious way, while walking with my suitcase and guitar in the desert, I felt the moment of leaving everything behind, starting all over again and I felt how privileged I am that I could follow the roots of my Jewish grandfather Marcus van Leeuwaarde z"l; may his neshama be lifted up by my living in the Land of Israel as a Jew.
I started my journey 12 years ago. While being a singer and studying at the conservatory in Holland, I understood that I couldn't sing for Jewish men. I stopped singing and learned to become a teacher and studied spiritual psychotherapy. The conversion process and the decision to make aliya were hard, especially regarding my sons (and my family). And there still is a pain I carry with me.
Living in the Holy Land, returning to the music, expanding my practice Essence Spiritual Life Coaching and experiencing the closeness of our Creator in my daily life, sweeten the emotional struggles and especially the pain of missing my two sons. A big present is that He gave me back my music and fulfills my deep desire to inspire and guide women through music and spiritual life coaching.
